LA River —

I have a long fascination with the LA River — the stretch from the Los Feliz overpass down to Vernon, and the neighborhoods around it. What I'm after is transition, detritus, and organic movement.

It started at SCI-Arc in the early '90s, with a Xerox pamphlet on reviving the river and the 4th Street Bridge near where I lived. I've been documenting it since the late 1990s — film first, then digital — and the last several years have seen the most change.
