Projection Mapping & TouchDesigner — USC
The Mirror Room is an immersive projection installation created for Wired for Wonder, the multisensory exhibition at Kidspace Children's Museum in Pasadena (2025), presented in collaboration with Getty's PST ART: Art & Science Collide. Made with Professors Michael Patterson and Candace Reckinger as part of USC's contribution to the exhibition — billed on the museum's site as the Infinity Room, a curving light installation with 3D surfaces.
Projection mapping and TouchDesigner drove a mirrored, light-filled room designed for a children's-museum audience — an artwork you walk into, built to survive thousands of small hands.
Why it matters: museum installations run all day, every day, unattended. The system design matters as much as the imagery.
The Mirror Room in motion — the mirrored, light-filled room as it runs at the museum, driven live by TouchDesigner.
Stills and renders in progress.
