Motion Design — Current TV
As a motion designer at Current TV — Al Gore's cable news network — I worked closely with creative director Frank Lentz to build the channel's first on-air broadcast package, taking the newly designed logo by the legendary Peter Saville and turning it into a range of looks and animations.
My initial motion-design tests helped define the network's aesthetic direction — the first passes that set the visual language everything else grew from.
Why it matters: the early tests are where a broadcast identity is really decided. Before anything is locked, someone has to show what the brand moves like.
