Tribe Design | Set and Stage Design | 1997-2001
From roughly 1997-2001 I worked as designer for hire for Tribe Design, with renowned Production Designer Bruce Rogers. My job was to interpret, usually through sketches and verbal communication, his designs and get them into a 3D world. In the beginning I would work in FormZ and Electric Image but by 1999 I had formally moved over to Maya 2.0. This was a fast paced high pressure world but I got to work on some amazing projects. Ricky Martin’s “Livin’ Ma Vida Loca” tour was probably the largest tour that I worked on with Bruce, but some of the other highlights were Hanson, and Brittany Spears first concert at 16 at Disneyworld. Bruce told me that she was going to be a big star, and I thought he was crazy.
