The Rosslyn Hotel Rooftop | 2008
I have been fascinated with the Rosslyn Hotel for a long time. At the time I had my office at the Springs Arts Tower, at 5th and Spring, and I would often sneak up on the roof and take pictures. In 2008, a friend was working a photo shoot on the Rosslyn Roof, and knew that I was in love with this building. He had somehow got me permission to take a small camera and I was allowed to shoot from the roof while an editorial shoot for French Vogue. With my Canon G-9, a great small point and shoot that shot raw, I was able to be inconspicuous enough that by the time the photographer was noticed me, it was too late, and when he saw my small camera he did not give a shit.
